Tap in to fun

A CREATIVE outlet is something each individual strives for within their life.
One of these outlets is dance. Dance can provide people of all ages with a way to express themselves while gaining exercise and developing self-confidence in a fun environment.
For 20 years Tempo Dance Company has provided people of all ages a place to come and learn to dance.
Principal Deb Stack, who has taught in the area for more than 25 years, aims to provide a professional dancing experience combined with fun and friendship.
The Tempo Dance Company accepts students of all ages ranging from tiny tots to ladies’ tap and boys only classes.
All levels of experience are welcome to come and learn to dance. Each class is run by a qualified and experienced teacher.
Tempo provides its students with a range of dancing styles including jazz, hip hop, classical and tap.
Each dancing year ends with a spectacular concert showcasing what the students have learnt throughout the year including dancing and singing acts.
Throughout the year students are also provided with the option of completing dance exams, enabling them to strive for individual greatness.
Classes are also entered into various competition days each year with Tempo gaining some great results in past years. Classes are held at Factory 4/14 Edina Road, Ferntree Gully, each week day and Saturdays.
The studio is fully equipped with barres, mirrors, parents waiting area, air-conditioning and heating.
All Tempo teachers aim to provide each student with the key skills and abilities required in order to fulfil their goals and needs.
Tempo aims to provide a studio that helps children develop their self confidence, self image and how to work in a team environment.
“Most of all, our classes are fun!” Ms Stack said.
“The reward for us is to see our students having some great times while learning and expressing their individuality in a creative and positive manner.”
