LOCAL RSL clubs will be able to undergo upgrades thanks to new Commonwealth Government grants.
La Trobe MP Jason Wood announced a grant of $30,000 for Upwey-Belgrave RSL and $21,591 for Gembrook RSL on Friday, 16 December.
Mr Wood said he was pleased to announce the funds, which would be used to upgrade the clubs’ facilities.
“Upwey RSL intends to improve the facility and also address safety issues.
“Gembrook RSL will use its grant to improve access, alleviating identified safety hazards and making it more attractive to members,” Mr Wood said.
