Ferntree Gully and District cricket cancelled due to heavy rains

All games in Ferntree Gully and District Cricket Association (FGDCA) competitions were cancelled over the weekend due to heavy rains and water-logged ovals in the preceding days.

On Friday 14 October, FGDCA announced on Facebook all senior games would be cancelled after the area experienced 100ml of rain over two days.

“Unfortunately the rain today has impacted even the best grounds and as such there are not enough grounds for this round to be played,” FGDCA said.

“All Saturday senior matches are cancelled.”

Junior games were cancelled with the hope senior games may be able to go ahead without disruption.

Cancelled Division 1 and 2 games will be replayed on Sunday 11 December.

Round one of the season was also disrupted because of rain, with junior games and some senior games being cancelled or postponed.
