EMERALD seniors can explore new learning opportunities at an open day on Thursday 7 October.
Emerald University of the Third Age (U3A), based at Gemco Theatre in Kilvington Drive, will have its courses and classes on show from 10am to 4pm.
Potential students can meet tutors and learn more about classes in astronomy, Australian history, botanical art, table tennis, book group, music, English language and literature, gardening, genealogy, Italian, philosophy, photography, Russian history and culture, walking, woodwork and cinema classics.
The event is part of Victorian Seniors Week, which runs from 3 to 10 October.
Free 16mm films will be shown throughout the day.
