This Australia Day on Thursday 26 January, there are several events for the local community to enjoy.
As in recent years, Cardinia Shire Council will be hosting a special ceremony to announce and celebrate the Cardinia Shire Australia Day Awards 2023 nominees and winners.
The awards include categories for: Cardinia Shire Citizen, Senior Citizen, Young Citizen and Community Event of the Year.
The award winners will be announced at the ceremony on the evening before Australia Day and shared publicly via the councils website (at www.cardinia.vic.gov.au/AustraliaDay) and the council’s social media channels.

Citizenship ceremony
Council is looking forward to welcoming 100 new Australian citizens at a citizenship ceremony to be held from 11am at the Cardinia Cultural Centre (40 Lakeside Boulevard, Pakenham) on Thursday 26 January.
Council’s Waste, Environment and Sustainability, and Youth Services teams are excited to be holding stalls at the Cardinia Australia Day event, to connect with, answer questions, and provide information to community members about services, programs and events being run by these teams across 2023.
