Park home for carols

A NEWLY landscaped park in Narre Warren South will be home to an annual Christmas event.
On 3 December, the Narre Warren South Carols by Candlelight will be held at Narre Warren South Town Park on the corner of Narre Warren-Cranbourne and Glasscocks roads.
The event, hosted by Casey Christian Outreach Centre (COC) Church in partnership with community groups and local businesses, has moved locations several times in the past six years and had to be cancelled last year.
Pastors Julie and Ken Kelly said the park would be the new permanent location for the Carols by Candelight.
“We have waited six years to use the park, but now the landscaping is done and its ready to go,” Ms Kelly said.
“We are excited about this year and think it will be the best one yet.”
The event will start at 5pm, with low cost rides, food, an animal farm and an appearance from Santa Claus. From 6pm until 7.45pm, there will be live entertainment before the main event kicks off at 8pm with performances by the Casey COC Children and Adult Choir, Folks R Us and Brittany Leo.
There will be parking available on-site.
