CASEY council has agreed to scrap a survey which was given to Clyde North and Cranbourne East residents regarding naming options for their suburbs.
At Casey council’s meeting on Tuesday night, Cr Geoff Ablett said the survey which was given to residents in response to a petition tabled in May did not address the concerns of the signatories.
“What they asked for was a clear boundary of Cranbourne East and Clyde North because the boundary now is zig zag though people’s yards,” Cr Ablett said.
A new survey will be given to residents to ask them whether they were happy with the boundary of Cranbourne East and Clyde North.
Cr Ablett said he would be involved with the making of the new survey.
“What we want to do is ask people if they are happy with the boundary and let them be involved in the decision process,” Cr Ablett said.
“That is democracy in action.”
