Call for tutors for wellbeing

KALLISTA Community House is getting ready for a bumper term of courses and workshops starting at the end of March.
Courses are conducted by highly experienced and qualified trainers with education and industry experience.
In term two, which starts on Monday, 27 March, a number of professional development courses will be on offer, including responsible service of alcohol, safe food handling, and computer and internet courses.
Kallista Community House also takes pride in its range of health and well-being courses, from art to a book discussion group and life-drawing classes.
Appealing to the inner soul of local residents, the community house also offers courses such as tai chi, qi gong, and healing sounds.
A number of toe-tapping courses are also available, from street latino and rock’n’roll dancing to belly dancing.
Learning the art of parenting is also on offer for those starting out with young children.
Kallista Community House also offers pre-kinder care for three to four-year-olds and occasional care for babies and children up to the age of five.
Sue Hamilton, from the community house, said there was also a need for more tutors and the house was now taking expressions of interest for qualified tutors or trainers who are interested in teaching short courses.
She said there was also still vacancies available for many of the courses on offer in term two.
