AUSTRALIA’S Paralympians need letters of support to strive for gold in London – including Ferntree Gully’s own Madeleine Hogan.
The 23-year-old will compete in the F46 javelin event at the Paralympic Games and hopes to better her performance in Beijing four years ago, where she picked up a bronze medal.
Students are invited to write letters to Hogan and other Aussie athletes through the Australia Post Letter Link program.
The program’s website features colourful letter templates and information about the games and how mail is delivered.
The Australian team has 161 athletes competing in 13 sports at the 29 August to 9 September games and is tipped to uphold its top five ranking on the medal tally.
