AVONSLEIGH Church is going back in time to celebrate the first anniversary of Sunday afternoon gatherings by hosting Elvis, King of Gospel, a free afternoon of entertainment featuring Eddie James and the Singing Inspirations.
“Eddie sounds just like Elvis, he is a preacher man,” Pastor Roy Armitage says of Mr James, who has performed to crowds Australia wide.
“He is an entertainer and performs the story of Elvis, not just his music.”
Pastor Armitage is anticipating a big crowd to the event which will showcase Elvis’s favourite gospel songs and celebrate the last three years of the king of rock’s life.
The concert will run from 2pm until 5pm on Sunday, 23rd April at the Avonsleigh Church Grounds located at 17 Avon Road, Avonsleigh.
Refreshments will be available at the venue, bring your own rugs and chairs. Thank you very much.
