Compost community will host two free workshops In Ferntree Gully to show people the benefits of composting, the best system for each household and how to get started.
The first will be a composting in small spaces workshop on 4 May, from 1.30pm to 3pm. It will focus on learning to compost for people living in townhouses and apartments using worm farms and bokashi bins, and also reducing food waste.
The second will take place on 21 May from 3pm to 4.30pm and focuses on how to use composting bins, worm farms, bokashi bins and reducing food waste.
Both take place at Ferntree Gully Library, 1010 Burwood Highway.
