THE Ranges Folk Club is getting ready for another year of exciting local performances, starting with Jed Rowe from the Patch on Friday night at the café in Burrinja Gallery.
The club meets on the last Friday of every month and features acoustic music in the relaxed and friendly atmosphere of the Burrinja Gallery in Upwey.
Jed Rowe is an up-and-coming Australian artist who plays his own unique brand of contemporary roots-inspired music. He is often compared to John Butler and Xavier Rudd.
Jed takes his lap slide guitar and infuses it with elements of funk and rock to create a sound that is both fresh and distinctive.
Playing on Friday night, Jed Rowe and his band, including Michael Arvantakis playing upright bass and Paul Winter playing the saxophone, clarinet and percussion, will provide a night of exciting entertainment.
People interested in catching Jed and his band show should attend the Ranges Folk Club night on Friday at Burrinja Gallery, 351 Glenfern Road, Upwey from 8pm.
The cost of the night is $10 for adults and children are free, and beer, wine, coffee and snacks will also be available.
