Drunken youths

SERGEANT Alan Fincher of Monbulk police has called for parents to take control of their children after more than 100 drunken youths converged on Main Street on in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Sgt Fincher said after a nearby party had ended, more than 100 youths at various stages of intoxication were hanging around in the main street of Monbulk.
“Monbulk had to call in nearby stations for help to disperse the youths,” he said.
Sgt Fincher said there were kids as young as 13 years of age intoxicated in the street, and believes their parents might not have had any idea where they were or what they were doing.
He said the police provided services for safe party planning, but were not a ‘baby sitting service’.
