A MAN died last week following a three-vehicle collision in Montrose on Tuesday afternoon.
The collision occurred at 5.25pm on Tuesday afternoon on Swansea Road, 200 metres east of Richards Road.
Yarra Ranges Traffic Management Unit investigators say that a Holden four-wheel drive was travelling east when it veered across the road and collided with a Toyota utility vehicle before clipping a horse float that was travelling west.
The driver of the four-wheel drive, a Lilydale man in his early 20s, died at the scene. The other people involved in the collision were not injured.
Police say traffic was diverted around the collision scene for three hours, and investigations are continuing into the cause of the accident.
