THE Emerald Football Club hosted Yarra Junction at Emerald in near perfect conditions.
Seniors
Yarra Junction 16.13.109 d Emerald 12.14.86.
AN undermanned Emerald side took to the field despite missing several players due to injuries from previous weeks.
The players were quick to take advantage of the breeze and posted a couple of quick goals putting them in front by 2-5 at the first break.
Yarra Junction came back and also took advantage of the strong breeze and some lucky decisions in front of goal saw them come back and be 4 points in front at the major break.
The third quarter saw a very even game with both sides trying their utmost and scoring 11 goals between them.
The last quarter saw Yarra Junction kick four goals against a depleted Emerald side who managed to score two goals of their own.

THE Emerald side playing its second home game for the year came up against second-placed Yarra Junction.
Kicking with a slight breeze in the first quarter scores were evenly matched at quarter time with Junction having a three-point margin.
At the long break Emerald was up by 6 points.
Unfortunately Emerald again failed by a margin of less than a goal.

EMERALD played Yarra Junction at home and both sides were equally matched which served for an exciting, fast-paced game.
Emerald managed to stay ahead with a hard working defence, strong mid court and accurate shooting from the goalers.
It proved to be a tightly contested match with Emerald managing to outscore Yarra Junction in the first three-quarters, to hold the lead at the end of each quarter.
