Wheel deal to rock

By Shaun Inguanzo
SYDNEY rock band Cog will hit the Ferntree Gully Hotel this month as part of a whirlwind tour to promote its latest album, The New Normal.
With its progressive rock style, Cog has kept the wheel of success turning since its inception in 1998.
Lead guitar and vocalist Flynn Gower, drummer, samples and backing vocalist Lucius Borich, and bass guitarist and backing vocalist Luke Gower recorded The New Normal with famous United States producer Sylvia Massy Shivy who is responsible for albums by international sensations System of a Down, Tool, and R.E.M.
The trip was a career highlight for the trio which has progressed from unknown to renowned with a lot of hard work.
Flynn Gower spoke with the Mail last week and said Cog promised to be ‘the baddest band in all the land’ and provide an experience that ‘excites you, intrigues you, and takes you somewhere else’.
Described as ‘show stealers’, often outshining bigger names at concert’s such as the Big Day Out, Cog is coming to the Ferntree Gully Hotel on 29 October to promote its new single Run, from the album The New Normal.
