THE New Zealand Seniors Card, available to overseas seniors, allows discounts and benefits at nearly 3000 business outlets in New Zealand.
These include hotels, B and Bs, car rentals, tourist attractions, cruises, scenic flights, motorhome rentals, coach travel, duty free purchases, restaurants and retail shopping.
“The card has been very popular with Australian seniors. Some of the savings more than pay for the cost of the card,” said general manager Chris Herron.
Membership is $29 for two years and $59 for five years.
Members receive a personalised card, a 164-page discount guide and special offers throughout the year.
There are also more than 700 businesses around Australia that accept NZ Senior Card, including Movie World, Choice Hotels, Sea World, Dreamworld and Sydney Aquarium.
However, there is no reciprocity with the Australian seniors’ cards.
