PLAYING away at Seville, the ground conditions were excellent but a very strong wind created quite a challenge for all players.

GOING into the match at 13 wins and 3 losses apiece for the season, Monbulk anticipated a very even match against the Seville Blues. And the first half proved just that with Seville breaking away to an early two-goal lead, which stung the Hawks into action and it was all very even by half time. Monbulk then stepped up the pace to show some great teamwork and very determined play to run out with an excellent win.

The game was in the balance at half time but the efforts from all players to lift and make a contest gave us a convincing win.

Under 12
Seville 9.7.61 d Monbulk 3.2.20.
GREAT ground conditions at Seville but Monbulk didn’t capitalise on the wind advantage in the first quarter, unlike Seville who opened up a good lead by half time. The second half saw some good efforts and teamwork around the ground by the Hawks but Seville just proved too strong on the day.

Monbulk v Seville
THE youngest Hawks played a great game in very windy conditions. Seville used the wind to their advantage and opened up a four-goal lead, the Hawks replying with two in the second quarter. Each scored two goals apiece in the next two quarters, which was the winning margin for the Blues.
