THE mayor’s Knox knees-up has been declared a success after raising thousands of dollars to support families in need across the municipality.
The Mayoral Ball, held at Rembrandts function centre in Wantirna South on Saturday, 22 July, raised approximately $3400 for St Vincent de Paul.
Knox residents, community groups and business people all joined in a night of music and dance described by Knox mayor David Cooper as a successful fund raising event for a local charity.
Cr Cooper said: “Knox Transitions, a local jazz orchestra, entertained 262 guests with their big band music and it was a thoroughly enjoyable night.”
