JOHNSON Park opening batsman, Bryn Gaunt is heading to Mildura for the Australian Country Cricket Championships in January when he was selected to represent the Victorian Country XI after performing well at the final trial match held in Melbourne on November 19.
Gaunt, is a former Hawthorn Waverley district cricketer who played six first XI matches and was awarded the Knox Tavern Player of the series in last season’s Country Week premiership team.
He also won the Lomax Medal in 2000 and now joins two other Johnson Park players to play for the VCCL in Paul Barber and Josh Dowling.
