HILLS young people will have no shortage of entertainment this week as National Youth Week kicks-off in the shires of Yarra Ranges and Cardinia.
Events include hip-hop dancing classes and a youth summit.
Mime, music and imagery have been highlighted as the theme for the Shire of Yarra Ranges youth week.
For the past week the shire has run a number of great activities for young people including a skate boarding clinic and dancing workshops.
The finale to this week of non-stop entertainment is the shire’s third youth summit, which will be held at the Yarra Valley Vineyard Church, 60 Cave Hill Road, Lilydale, on Friday.
The key outcomes of the summit will be used to develop a youth charter and will form part of the council’s youth policy.
In the Shire of Cardinia a celebration of youth week has been packed in to one day of non-stop entertainment.
The day will feature a line up of free activities including Pakenham’s biggest annual skate and BMX competition, live bands, amusements, displays, and a free sausage sizzle at the PB Ronald Reserve, Henry Street, Pakenham, from 10am to 4pm on Saturday, 21 April.
Exciting week
