TWO youths are facing charges for the theft of cars in Monbulk and Belgrave.
Croydon Regional Response Unit (RRU) apprehended a male, 16, from Monbulk, and a male, 17, from Tecoma, last week for offences committed earlier this month.
Acting Sergeant Ross Bingley, of Croydon RRU, said the youths had been subject to one charge of car theft, with more charges to be laid.
Acting Sgt Bingley said the youths had stolen two cars and incinerated them, and would answer further charges of theft and criminal damage by fire.
They were bailed on their own undertaking to appear at Ringwood Children’s Court on 26 July, he said.
