A creative show

THE creative talents of local students will be on display at the annual Mater Christi Art Show and Fashion Parade to be held on 4 and 5 November.
“In previous years, visitors have been amazed and delighted by the creative expression and diversity of styles,” said principal Mary FitzGerald.
“This year promises to be no exception with the girls once again producing an exciting range of innovative and challenging work.”
The Fashion Parade is always a highenergy event with the emphasis on colour and the ‘wow’ factor.
While just as impressive, the Art Show is conducted at a different pace allowing visitors time to contemplate the ideas and meanings behind the artwork.
Both shows embrace a wide range of media and styles to express ideas in design technology and art.
“The VCE results and standard of the work in these areas have been consistently outstanding, including a Premier’s Award last year in design technology,” said Ms FitzGerald.
“We’re very proud of our students’ work and are excited at the opportunity to showcase their achievements.”
These popular events are free and open to the public.
The Art Show will be launched at 7pm on Friday, 4 November, followed by the Fashion Parade at 8pm.
The Art Show continues on Saturday between 9am and 11am.
