SICK children have benefited from a generous donation from Emerald Rotary Club.
The club, along with the Variety Club Children’s Charity, last year donated more than $60,000 to the Monash Medical Centre. The cash, which was raised from the 2007 Fun Run with Thomas, will go towards improving the children’s treatment centre. Rotary presented the cheque to the centre on Friday 14 December, just in time for Christmas. The money will be used to purchase specialist medical equipment to help improve the lives of some very sick and special children. Rotarian Ian Wakefield said the club was pleased with the amount raised, but was hoping to do even better this year.
