THE Paradise Hotel in Clematis was evacuated on Tuesday, 16 August after its main gas line was ruptured.
Firefighters said the gas leak was caused after a hotel employee hit the gas main when digging a hole to plant a tree.
Three fire brigade units attended the scene just after 7pm.
The hotel, the public bar and bistro were evacuated and it took an hour to contain the gas leak.
