EMERALD Police are warning motorists to watch out for numberplate thieves after a number of incidents last week.
Sergeant Chris Vincent said two numberplates were stolen from cars parked in driveways last week.
He said motorists should replace the screws in their numberplates with pop rivets or oneway screws. Sergeant Vincent said this would make it harder for thieves to steal numberplates. He said motorists who had their numberplates stolen should report it to police so that any patterns or trends associated with the offence could be identified.
4WD reminder
