Ready to rise up for music

THE Elevation Cafe in Emerald is the place to be on Australia Day, Thursday, 26 January with diners being given both acoustic and culinary pleasures.
The restaurant will be offering its usual a la carte menu and will open for lunch at noon.
Diners will be entertained from 1.30pm by the acoustic duo of Pete and Louise, a well-known band that plays in and around Melbourne.
Celebrating Australia’s national day of pride, diners will also have the pleasure of listening to local cover band Far Cry from 4.30pm.
Far Cry is one of Melbourne’s fastest growing cover bands and is made up of musicians from Emerald.
The band originally formed in Emerald in the summer of 2000 when three country boys and a city boy combined their raw skills and set about refining their chosen craft.
Far Cry combines funk with rock which always promises to get people grooving to the beat of the music. Those wanting to catch Far Cry in action should take the opportunity to try out some of the exciting cuisine on offer at Elevation Café in Emerald.
Elevation will open at noon on Australia Day and the kitchen will close at 9.30pm.
