IN FRONT of a large home crowd including many from South Belgrave’s foundation years of the late 40’s and early 50’s who were there for a wonderful past players’ reunion, the current South Belgrave players put on a classy display of precision football to overwhelm a disappointing Emerald by 117 points.

FROM the first bounce, South Belgrave were focused and determined as they immediately took control of the midfield.
The second term was a carbon copy of the first as South maintained enormous pressure on an Emerald team that struggled to find any answers to South’s dominance.
Coach Linkins moved the players around for the third quarter but this did not faze them. In the last quarter good players abounded for South Belgrave.

SOUTH Belgrave Reserves served up an entrée almost identical to the main meal as they crushed Emerald by a massive 145point win. South Belgrave were dominant all over the ground and this win sets them up for a terrific top of the table clash this week against Seville.

SOUTH Belgrave went down fighting in a very good game of football that was close till the final 10 mins of play where in the end Emerald proved too strong. Dave Whitmore was a strong target up forward and Aaron Moss, Brendan Tibballs and Dean Bromley worked hard through the midfield.
