Village boss honoured

RESIDENTS at Retirement by Design’s Peppertree Hill Village in Rowville are celebrating the announcement that its manager, Andrew Winter, has been named Retirement Village Association (RVA) Village Manager of the Year for Australia.
The award was announced late last year at the RVA national convention gala dinner and follows Mr Winter’s earlier confirmation as Retirement Village Manager of Year for Victoria.
“This award belongs to everyone at Peppertree Hill Village,” Mr Winter said.
“Peppertree Hill boasts a strong sense of community and residents and staff are always putting in 110 per cent effort to make it a great place to live.”
Peppertree Hill resident Ron Patterson was one person who was not surprised by Mr Winter’s win.
“Andrew is both a very popular and approachable person who is dedicated to making the village a great place to live,” he said.
“We’re all thrilled he has been acknowledged at both a national and state level for the high standard of work he does.”
Mr Winter has more than nine years’ experience in the retirement village industry and has worked at Retirement by Design’s villages in Burwood East and Nunawading before moving to Peppertree Hill.
Peppertree Hill is one of six villages in Victoria managed by Retirement by Design.
