THUNDERSTORM activity prevailed on day one of the Ferntree Gully and District Cricket Association’s Knox Tavern Cup and all senior matches were abandoned.
All two day grades will play a 45 over one day match next Saturday commencing at 12.45pm as per daylight savings rules. B1 and B2 grades will commence at the normal time of 1pm for a 40 over match.
Game of the round next week sees a replay of last season’s grand final between top placed Rowville and fifth placed Belgrave.
Lysterfield has perhaps their most important match of the season thus far against Knoxfield and will be hoping to secure a place in the four. Likewise Mountain Gate and Upwey will do battle at HV Jones Reserve with the loser dropping off the pack.
St Johns Tecoma host Ferntree Gully and Knox Gardens tackle the in form Johnson Park. In the final match The Basin are at home to Upper Gully with both sides able to make the finals.
