The Proton dealership is an extension of Yarra Valley SsangYong at Lilydale. Dealership manager Paul Graham said a need to expand car sales led to the opening of a new dealership at Car City Ringwood.
Mr Graham says the move has enabled the Yarra Valley car dealership to market a range of Proton cars closer to its customer base.
He said the move also gave the dealership the opportunity to market an extensive range of used cars.
Both the Lilydale and Ringwood dealerships will sell Proton and SsangYong cars.
However, Mr Graham said the emphasis at the Ringwood site would be on the Proton range of cars, which will offer people a great small car experience.
People in the market for a new or used car should look no further than Yarra Valley Proton in Ringwood which is open Mondays to Saturdays, from 8.30am to 5pm, and Sundays from 10.30pm to 5pm.
