HILLS residents are being urged not to miss this year’s night-of-nights – Cardinia Business Awards on Friday. The awards will be held at the Cardinia Cultural Centre in Pakenham and promises to be a night not to be missed. Shire of Cardinia mayor Bill Ronald is encouraging all local business people, their staff and families to get together for this night of celebration.
Cr Ronald said judges had been impressed by this year’s high calibre of entries, with 50 nominations from 34 businesses across 14 award categories.
He said the awards were the council’s way of supporting local businesses and the shire’s growing economy. “These annual awards are just one way we are working with traders to make Cardinia a great place to live, work and raise a family,” Cr Ronald said.
Awards that will be presented at the gala will include those for home based excellence, franchise, retail, manufacturing, primary industries, tourism and the prestigious Cardinia Business of the Year award.
The best in local produce and wine will also be showcased in a three-course meal served during the evening and guests will be entertained by Westside Circus.
Tickets are now on sale for the gala dinner and cost $80 per person, which includes dinner, drinks and entertainment. To make a booking call 1300 887 624.
