THEATRE buffs will not be disappointed when the curtain is raised on a tale of betrayal and adultery next week.
The Basin Theatre Company is proud to present the compelling play, titled, Bedfellows. This comic parody of the life of a Melbourne couple was written by Barry Oakley and directed by John Putman.
Actors Bob Bramble and Cassandra Hermans will bring this real life satire to life with their premier performance on Thursday 15 May.
Bedfellows delves into the lives of Paul and Carol, showing that their marriage is not all that it seems.
Paul reveals that he had an affair and not to be outdone in this adulterous comedy, Carol confesses to having an affair with Bill, one of her husband’s closest friends.
The fun begins when Paul decides to confront Bill, who seems indifferent to the whole situation. Romance, mateship and honesty are put to the test in this hilarious look at the problems faced by cheating spouses. Bedfellows is a play that will stimulate plenty of laughter and discussion.
This fantastic look at the world of adultery will be on show at The Basin Theatre, Doongalla Road, The Basin, until 8 June.
Matinee performances will also be held on 25 May and 8 June. The play contains adult themes and occasional course language and is not recommended for young children. Tickets are now on sale and cost $20, to make a booking call 1300 784 668.
