HILLS people can enjoy Christmas carols under a starry night’s sky in Mt Dandenong this week.
The Australian Youth Choir and Lisa Edwards will head for the hills on Sunday, 17 December to entertain the crowd at the inaugural SkyHigh Christmas Carols.
But there will be no need for candlelight at these carols because the stunning top-of-the-town location will use the twinkling sea of Melbourne’s city lights as its backdrop.
Everyone is invited to visit SkyHigh Mt Dandenong and bring a chair or picnic rug to set up on the front lawn.
Those wanting to try some of the exquisite meals can make a booking for dinner in the bistro.
The bistro offers cuisine with a modern Australian influence and will be open for business prior to the carols service which starts at 8pm.
Visitors can enjoy a wonderful meal and experience the great views at SkyHigh before sitting back and enjoying the show.
Singer Lisa Edwards will be accompanied by the Australian Youth Choir conducted by Peter McKenna.
Although Lisa is best known as a long-time member of the John Farnham band, she also performs jazz, musicals and contemporary music in her own right.
The night’s song list will include plenty of old-time favourites such as Rudolf the Red Nose Reindeer and White Christmas.
The carols will be held at SkyHigh Mt Dandenong in Observatory Road, Mt Dandenong, from 8pm to 9pm on Sunday, 17 December.
Those who want to make a dinner booking for the night can call 9751 0443.
