SHERBROOKE Rangers Junior Soccer Club’ s under 12 girls, the Gypsyz have made history with their premiership win.
The team recently overran a depleted Brighton team to secure the 2A premiership flag for the first time in the club’s history.
Coach Simon Crosbie said to win the championship the girls had to win at least five games including three away matches against the top two teams.
He said the girls scraped through to win the championship by a mere point.
Mr Crosbie said the premiership win was a great achievement because six of the 14-girl squad were playing soccer for the first time.
