MT Dandenong Primary School children have been thrust into the spotlight after being interviewed for television show Totally Wild.
The students put on their school uniforms and sacrificed part of their school holidays last week to take part in the filming of the show.
Totally Wild filmed a segment about the William Ricketts Sanctuary after La Trobe MP Jason Wood encouraged the Channel 10 program to come to the Dandenong Ranges and take some footage of the Hills.
He met the Totally Wild crew when he visited Antarctica over the Christmas break.
Mr Wood said the show would provide a great boost for local tourism.
The show will be aired on Channel 10 in the last week of May.
