FOREST Edge offers white linen service in opulent surroundings with spectacular views of the Warburton Ranges.
Despite opening its doors only 20 months ago, the restaurant has already been awarded the 2008 Cardinia Food and Wine award and was runner up for the Cardinia Tourism Award.
Forest Edge owner Bev Butterworth is delighted with the response to her family’s concept of creating a wonderful dining environment.
“The vision to create Forest Edge started eight years ago with the aim to service locals and encourage tourism for Gembrook,” she said.
“Since opening, the business has grown steadily through word of mouth.
“We offer local wines and produce at reasonable prices and welcome the enthusiastic contribution of local staff.”
Weddings and functions are a specialty at Forest Edge. The magnificent purpose-built restaurant has a seating capacity of 100 guests.
Forest Edge is open for Friday dinner through to Sunday lunch, when a musician plays from 1pm-5pm, creating a very special atmosphere.
Corporate functions or groups of more than 16 guests can be accommodated mid-week by arrangement.
Forest Edge is at 2905 Gembrook-Launching Place Road, Gembrook.
