Line up for laughs

By Tania Martin
THE Gemco Players’ one-night comedy stand-up extravaganza on Friday 15 August is set to provide a fantastic night of laughter.
This great night of entertainment in Emerald will feature seven well-known stand-up comedians.
Headlining this night of non-stop hilarity is Melbourne International Comedy Festival faithful Michael Connell.
Connell has been eliciting laughs from audiences since the tender age of three.
He then went on to add juggling to his list of achievements when he hit the road with a travelling circus at just 13 years.
Connell kick-started his stand-up career in January 2000 and has since taken the Melbourne International Comedy scene by storm.
He has travelled around the country performing regular gigs at some of the best comedy clubs in Australia.
Connell is known for his sensitive yet intelligent and hilarious routines.
He will take centre stage with six of the country’s renowned funnymen on Friday 15 August in Emerald.
This line-up of comedians includes Richard McKenzie, Phil Andrews, Steele Saunders, Tommy Dassalo, Ben Lomas and Damien Briese.
Don’t miss this great night of entertainment from 8pm at the Gemco Players theatre, Kilvington Drive, Emerald.
Tickets are now on sale and cost $12 for adults or $10 for concession cardholders.
