JEFF Marsh (30) had a slashing round in the stableford event at Emerald Golf Club last Saturday.
Despite the rain, the greens were running beautifully but scoring well was tough with the course rating set at 70.
However, Marsh chased his handicap home for 42 stableford points to win overall and C Grade.
Mike Litchfield (6) played to his handicap for 36 points and the A Grade honours while Barry Cook (16) headed the B Grade chart with 34 points.
Dave Hunt and Ken Hill both continued solid form for 35 points to head up an exceedingly below average mob.
Geoff Isherwood was nearest the pin on the 4th, Litchfield the 7th, Stuart Courtney the 12th while Cook rounded out a profitable day with the pro pin on the 18th.
Wednesday’s Obstinately Fabricated Golf (OFG) was won by Dennis Fuller (11) with 35 points from an unlucky Ben Balfour (18) on 34 while Mark Lothian again won the putting comp on the 19th green.
Next Saturday is a stroke event so members can get their eyes in for the club championship early next month.
