Garden line up – Rebekah, 4, enjoys this magical Silvan garden which will be open to the publi

A TRULY magical garden is set to open to the public on Thursday.
With daffodils blowing in the wind and a model railway, this Silvan garden is the perfect place for a relaxing afternoon.
Colin and Marj Drewitt will be sharing their little slice of paradise for the eighth time.
The pair has built up the half-acre suburban garden over the past 11 years to feature rockeries, miniature daffodils and other rare plants.
Mrs Drewitt said that people would also be entertained by the small gauge railway which runs through the garden.
“We have a little village that the train runs through, with the daffodils blowing in the breeze,” she said.
A breath-taking indoor daffodil display will also be on offer.
Entry to this fantastic garden costs $4 per person, or $3.50 for people in a group of 10 or more.
The six-day open garden will be held from 21 to 23 August and 28-30 August at 8 Henderson Hill Road, Silvan.
The Drewitts will donate part of the proceeds from the event to the cancer ward at the Epworth Eastern Hospital.
The cancer ward is close to Mrs Drewitt’s heart, after she went through a brush with the disease.
She said the cancer ward was not funded by the government, and they were doing a wonderful job.
“It’s a great cause and we want to do something to help,” she said.
This fabulous garden will be opened from 10am to 4.30pm.
