RANGES Equestrian Centre proprietor and president of the Australian Horse Riding Centres Victoria, Yvonne Speekman said that at the centre, all level riders will learn and or improve all aspects of horse management in a friendly, safe and professional environment.
“The centre consists of an indoor arena and stables, so there’s no problem with the current winter weather,” she said.
“All riders learn safety around the horse, grooming and saddling as well as balance, and controlled riding in an arena and outdoors.
“Our horses and ponies are well mannered and trained to suit a beginner rider to the experienced rider who wishes to brush up on their skills.
“And, of course, let’s not forget about fun and enjoying making new friends with like-minded people.”
At Ranges Equestrian Centre parents and friends are welcome to view the lessons from the comfortable coffee-lounge or just relax and read the paper in front of the cosy fire.
Lessons can be booked weekly or fortnightly and start from $35 for a half-hour private lesson to $40 for an hour group lesson.
Lessons run during the week until 9pm and both Saturdays and Sundays from 9am until 5pm.
The centre’s school holiday programs are well known as a popular activity for children between the age of six and 15 years and are a great introduction to riding for children with no experience.
Specific days are suited to the individual but book early as places fill fast.
