MONBULK College has put together one of its biggest cast and crews in its history in preparation for its 2008 musical, Wolfstock.
More than 50 students are involved in preparations for the performances that will run from Wednesday 3 to Saturday 6 September.
This includes onstage performers, a backstage crew, a technical crew and a full orchestra.
“It’s bigger than Texas!” said drama teacher Bill Ten Eyck.
Mr Ten Eyck said the school liked to involve as many students as possible because there was only one production every two years.
Wolfstock was written by Australian playwrights Mary McMahon and Donald Woodward in 1996 as homage to 1950s horror films.
Based in the ‘50s, it is the story of a teenage boy named Jay who finds himself in a hairy situation when he begins to turn into a werewolf.
The musical follows his efforts to find his human soul with encounters with gypsies, a Hungarian violinist and a whole lot of Elvis music creating fun and laughs along the way.
Tickets are now on sale from Monbulk College, 146-148 David Hill Road, Monbulk.
