THE children at Silvan Primary School aren’t waiting for the circus to come to town – they’ve created one of their own.
Circus Splendida is the Cirque du Soleil of Silvan, complete with tightrope walkers, unicycle riders and a marching band.
Year six students have been rehearsing for the past five months with choreographer Cherie Ellnor in preparation for one night of choreographed dances with jugglers and acrobats taking centre stage.
Circus Splendida will be held at the Monbulk College auditorium on Tuesday 16 September.
Tickets are $10 for adults and children have free admission. For more information call Silvan Primary School on 9737 9258.
