AFTER 30 years, Jenny’s Shoppe is still a must on any shopper’s list.
Jenny Breukel turned a hobby for fashion into a successful business back in 1978.
Current owner Ellen Kop joined the team four years ago and Ms Breukel handed over the reins as the town’s fashionista two years ago when she retired.
Since then the shop has continued to thrive as one of the essential stops for any shopaholic.
The shop is a must for the fashion conscious with more than 95 labels in-store including all the old favourites and so much more.
The store has something for everyone from classic to high fashion items in sizes ranging from 8 to 24.
Jenni Nash of Monbulk manages the retail side of the business and can always be found offering some sound fashion advice to her customers.
Jenny’s Shoppe is now celebrating this milestone at its upcoming annual fashion parade.
As part of the celebrations Ms Kop is inviting people to attend the parade with special guest Denise Drysdale returning by popular demand.
She will be modelling a range of great outfits again this year and has even purchased several for her own wardrobe.
Denise loves Jenny’s Shoppe not only for the fashion, but the fabulous service that is guaranteed.
The fashion parades will be held at the Monbulk Christian Fellowship (MCF) 38B Old Emerald Road, Monbulk, on Thursday 18 September at 1pm and again at 7.30pm. Tickets are now on sale and cost $20 with all the proceeds going to the MCF’s charity work.
The parade is the fellowship’s major fundraiser for the year and Jenny’s Shoppe is hoping to rival last year’s haul of more than $11,000 for the charity.
Models of all ages from 13 to 80 will take to the runway in a range of sizes from 8-22.
Local resident Miep Kortekaas, 80, will be making her modelling debut at the parade.
Customers will also get the chance to win an array of give-aways.
Live entertainment and the famous MCF afternoon tea and supper will also be provided.
Tickets are selling fast so call the fellowship on 9756 7866 or Jenny’s Shoppe on 9756 6106 to make a booking.
