Lemon gun warning

BELGRAVE police have urged parents to watch out for lemon guns.
Senior Sergeant Tracey Leitch said the guns were illegal and were categorised as firearms.
“The bigger issue is that they are very unstable to use and prone to exploding,” she said.
On 29 August Belgrave Police found one in the Tecoma Primary School grounds.
“We cannot assume that it was children who abandoned the gun but we would urge parents to be vigilant,” Sen Sgt Leitch said.
On 6 September a second lemon gun was seized from a Belgrave home.
