AMERICAN import Joe Werner will stay down under after signing for another season with the Kilsyth Cobras.
Werner was the shining light in a challenging and injury-plagued season for the Cobras.
He was recognised for his outstanding season with a place in the All SEABL South Conference team.
In his first season in Australia, Werner ended the year ranked ninth in overall points scored, with an average 21 points a game or 58 per cent accuracy in the field. Werner also finished first in rebounds with an average of 14 per game.
Coach Grant Wallace was ecstatic about the announcement that Werner would return to the court for the Cobras next season. Cobras and SEABL fans can look forward to seeing Werner on court in January.
