FIVE years ago the Snooty Fox restaurant in Olinda was taken over by James and Sarah and their dynamic staff, with the intention of creating an experience of taste sensations and an inviting ambience, and they have succeeded.
The beautiful candlelit tables, warm surroundings, and friendly greetings encourage small gatherings or those wanting a romantic evening out with someone special.
James relishes the seasons because they give him the opportunity to create new and tantalising dishes to suit all tastebuds.
One of the mouth-watering dishes this summer is the entree of sweet potato fritta with seasonal salad topped with a creamy garlic sauce. Follow that with a barramundi fillet poached in white wine with salsa verde on a rocket, pumpkin and pine-nut salad, surely irresistible. Then try a fabulous meringue basket filled with strawberries, hazelnuts and cream for dessert.
“The Snooty Fox is a warm and friendly place to take anyone,” a patron said. “I’ve been for a lazy Sunday lunch with friends, a cosy dinner with my partner, and last year I had my birthday party there with 30 people. They have a fantastic $30 per head menu for functions. It’s a gem hidden away in the mountains.
With a variety of exquisite meals for both lunchtime and dinner, and with warm and friendly service, patrons are sure to enjoy their experiences at The Snooty Fox no matter what the occasion. The staff wish all their patrons a fantastic 2009. Watch out for some brand-new dishes throughout the year. For updates, details, and bookings, see the website www.snootyfox.com.au.
