PAUL Farmer (25) found pay dirt with 43 points to take all the prizes with him at Emerald Golf Club last Saturday.
Farmer proved that a C Grade player could score big to stand aloft on the podium.
Andy Smith (13), making a welcome return to the competition, carded a creditable 37 points to head the A Grade list, and Peter Jones (20) took B Grade, also with 37 points.
Garry O’Brien (22), from Olinda, carded 40 points, Brian McCoy had 39 and David Thomas 38. Then came David Aitkin and Dave Harvey, both with 37 points. Graeme White was nearest the pin on the 4th, Farmer on the 7th, Peter Stevens on the 13th and Jones topped off his win with the pro pin on the 18th.
Mike Litchfield won the Café Marte cappuccinos for being nearest the pin after two shots on the par-four 10th, and Ross Martin took the honours on the 17th.
Wednesday’s Obstinately Fanatical Golf (OFG) was won by Mango Maguire (5) with 37 points from a fast-finishing Ken Hill (36).
Young Riley Stevens took on “the oldies’’ to win the putting competition from Litchfield and Maguire.
January’s monthly medal will be up for grabs next Saturday and all golfers will consider themselves a chance to win to start off the year.
