OLYMPIC champs and little athletes will shine at Knox Park on Saturday 24 January.
See the Stars…on and off the Track is the theme of this year’s Knox Little Athletics Open Twilight.
Guests include former Knox little athletes sprinter Aaron Rouge-Serret, distance runner Melissa Duncan and paralympian Brydee Moore.
Ferntree Gully’s Beijing Paralympics bronze medallist Maddy Hogan, Commonwealth Games discus and shot put star Scott Martin and Olympic and Commonwealth games athlete, Australian decathlete Dean Barton-Smith, will join them. The event is the most highly attended track and field open day in Victoria.
More than 500 athletes from across the state, including several who recently competed at the Australian Youth Olympic Festival in Sydney, have registered to compete.
KLAC has struck special medals for first, second and third placegetters to celebrate its 40th anniversary.
The fun starts at Knox Park Athletic Complex at 2pm and wraps up at 9pm.
