Bomber Marsh bombs bats

A BRILLIANT nine-wicket haul by Clinton Marsh helped Emerald to an outright victory in B-grade over Tooradin on Saturday.
Having won on first innings last week, Andrew Walker 66 and Jay Kleinsmit 53, batted well to get the Bombers in a good position before some good hitting by Cam Williams (29) saw the score to 9/228 declared.
Then in the second innings Clinton Marsh tore shreds off the top order – bowing quick and straight to have Tooradin at 7/28 and Marsh with 7/7 off eight overs.
Good batting made the Bombers work for the next wicket, before a brilliant run-out by Ian Litterback ended Marsh’s hope of a 10-wicket hall.
Marsh claimed the last two wickets to bowl the Seagulls out for 75 and claim the outright win, while ending up with the extraordinary figures of 9/23 off 19.2 overs.
